First of all, no I am not doing drugs. I don't mean coke as in cocaine I mean coke as in coca cola.. Although I'm not a big fan of either.
Every once in a while I find the desire just to shoot and explore. In one of these moods I happened to remember this cool Coca Cola glass that I bought at a garage sale. The way that colored glass reflects light and illuminates its local color fascinates me. Local color is the actual color of an object, rather than what color it appears to be. So I set my camera on a tripod and just experimented. Starting off, it did't go so well. There was a ton more dust on the glass than I initially realized.
After a few experiments, I figured out that moving the light around keeps the dust from showing up.
There are also tons of ways that you can move a light and reflect light off of an object in one to three seconds. So I did that.... at least 30 times. Here are the most different 25.
While taking these pictures, I recognized my reflection in the glass. So... I took a selfie. I'm not the kind of person to take selfies.
I don't take selfies because I don't need to continually be like "look at me and see that I'm pretty" because in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter how pretty I am. I would rather focus on showing people beautiful things that they may have never noticed before.
So when you see something interesting, instead of trying to capture it accurately, capture what you find interesting about it.
