In 2011, a tornado flew through the outskirts of Birmingham, so my dad saw the opportunity, and drove me to one of the neighborhoods. At first, it just appeared to be just an empty neighborhood that got torn down, but as we got closer the perspective changed. I saw not empty houses, but houses that somebody lived in. I saw items that belonged to people like blankets, mattress, and clothes. Each house that I visited up close was a representation of the family that lived there. Then it became real, then I realized that there were tons of people who didn't just loose a houses, they lost their homes.
