This is for anybody looking to decorate or re-decorate on a budget. Skip to the bottom to see how it is relevant to my identity as an artist.
So that you can have an idea of what my mixed palate looks like, I'll tell you a few more things about myself.
I love the outdoors, the mountains, and especially trees, but I spend most of my time indoors. I'm proud to be a woman, and find it funny that I work in a sandwich shop (it pays the bills).I think that the most attractive thing that someone can wear is a humble confidence. I do my best to not wear any makeup because I think that it's okay for people to see my flaws.I’ve become slightly obsessed with ballroom and swing dancing.I come from a large, hard working, playful family.
Music is necessary for my peace and happiness.
I live in Tupelo, Mississippi (birthplace of the king),
and while I love this town, I'm ready for a change. The only problem is that I can't pack up and move because I'm part of a family and I've got a job. So instead of moving I'm embarking on the new adventure of blogging trying to make the best of what I have, with the little time I have.
I wonder what these things about me as a person have to do with me as an artist. I suspect that they will influence the content and style of my work, but in which ways? I suppose that I may have a rather earthy/natural/raw style, and I seem to like challenging and adventurous things. What do you think?
Maybe I’m overthinking things by trying to use who I am to determine what art I should do. Maybe I should think less and create more.
